Dr. McCall received training in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida, and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. She completed training in animal chiropractic at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Sturtevant, Wisconsin under the direction of Dr. Pedro Rivera. Dr. McCall pursued further training in movement and neuromuscular therapies for humans, and this informs her work with a distinct and comprehensive understanding of biomechanics. She completed the 1,000 hour Holistic Health Practitioner program at the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, California, and the 4 year Feldenkrais® Practitioner Training in Functional Integration® and Awareness Through Movement® with Dr. Jeff Haller in Seattle, Washington. She has utilized her training in functional movement with riders seeking performance enhancement, and in instances where a rider and horse combination exhibit a mismatch in movement that manifests as a recurring pain condition for either one or both of them. A former rider and olympic training centre athlete, Dr. McCall has experienced first hand the benefits of the therapies she offers and the way in which a well designed rehabilitation program can augment an athlete’s return to performance.
